Keeping a paper chart log through the rainy season
Bangkok evenings lose people to traffic and rain. A paper log is how a missed Tuesday stays honest.
The studio meets on Tuesday evenings because most of the people at the table finish work in the city and can reach Sathorn after 18:00. From May into October the rain changes that plan. A flooded side street is a real reason to miss a mark. It is not a reason to redraw the chart on Thursday from memory.
What the log holds
Each evening gets one page, even if you were not in the room. The page has the date, the market, the swing you were watching, and one sentence. If you missed the desk, the sentence can be short: rain on Bang Na, chart not marked, will mark Wednesday from the printed sheet. An empty page pretends the week did not happen. A short page keeps the sequence.
Students who ride the BTS often mark the weekly sheet on the train and only copy the fair version at the table. That is welcome. The fair version still has to show the crossed-out marks, not only the ones that survived. Niran is strict about this, and he is right. A clean page is how a swing high starts migrating toward the bar you prefer.
Makeup hour
If you miss a Tuesday, the academy holds a quieter makeup hour the following week before the regular evening, usually at 17:15. It is not a second lecture. You sit, you mark the sheet you missed, and Mali or Niran reads the page. Write to the desk the morning after you miss, so a chair is kept. The log, not the makeup hour, is what carries the work into the next month.
