Reason Passagefield Academy Co., Ltd. was established in 2016 in Bangkok. The company still does one thing: technical analysis training for people who swing-trade and want their chart reading written down.
How the company began
Niran Chaiyasit and Mali Thongchai had kept paper swing logs since the years before the academy existed. In 2016 they registered Reason Passagefield Academy Co., Ltd. and rented a narrow room near Sathorn Tai Road so other independent traders could mark charts in company. The first sittings were informal Tuesday nights: six people, one pot of tea, and a rule that every swing needed a sentence.
By 2019 the informal night had become Swing Chart Studio, eight weeks with a printed pack and a fixed seat count. The company did not add a signal desk or a fund. The address later settled at the present classroom in Yannawa. The register of the company is still the same name students see on a receipt: Reason Passagefield Academy Co., Ltd.
What the name is doing
A passage is the walk from one swing to the next. The field is the chart. Reason is the sentence under the pencil mark. The founders wanted a name that would sound wrong if the room ever started selling certainty. It has kept them honest when a student asks for a target instead of a correction.
How an evening is judged
A good evening is not a busy one. It is an evening where a wrong swing high stays visible, crossed out, with the date beside it. Instructors interrupt for missing neighbours on a swing, for a daily mark that pretends to overrule the weekly chart, and for a blank margin. They do not interrupt to improve a story.
The academy sits in Bangkok and keeps Thai public holidays in mind. When a holiday lands on a studio Tuesday, the evening moves to Wednesday of that week. Rain is treated as weather, not as a character flaw: a makeup hour exists, and the paper log is expected to record the miss.
People at the table
Niran Chaiyasit
Niran traded his own swing account for years before the 2016 registration and still does. He teaches the weekly test for a swing high and reads the spoken review in week eight. He prefers a blunt correction to a gentle one.
Mali Thongchai
Mali sits the second half of the studio table and leads the two-day structure workshop. She is the person who notices a clean page where crossed-out marks should still be visible. Private reviews are shared between the two of them.
What the academy holds as practice
Marks stay in the student's handwriting. Printed packs are reference sheets, not signals. A seat is for one person. Disagreement at the table is allowed; erasing someone else's pencil is not. Trade decisions remain with the student after they leave Yannawa.
